Jon + Coleen | July 26, 2014 | Ka’a’awa Plantation Estate, Hawaii | Wedding
These two have pretty much the best love story, ever! Jon is from Wales & Coleen is an all American Girl. Her dad was in the Air Force the majority of her life so she lived all over, but spent many years in Texas. They met in Beijing, China. (say what?!) Jonathan is a conductor and was guest conducting at a festival there and Coleen is a Choir teacher and was bringing her students from Bangkok to participate in the festival. They instantly had a connection and stayed in touch via skype, making the effort to see each other every as much as possible- wherever in the world that may have been! 😉 In September of 2013 Jonathan was conducting in Bangkok and proposed to Coleen during the concert! It was all history from there and then came this absolutely perfect wedding. Coleen’s parents live in beautiful Hawaii so it was a fitting place to have a dream wedding. It truly was a perfect day. Jon + Coleen were surrounded by close family and friends for an intimate Hawaiian wedding. I have never seen a bride smile as much as Coleen and it was truly a joy to witness her excitement to marry Jon. Jon equally shared her excitement as her grinned ear to ear every time her caught a glimpse of his stunning bride. They have a magnetic love that you can’t help but smile when you see them. Jon + Coleen, thank you so much for having me to Hawaii to photograph your special day. It was such an incredible, love filled day. You guys are truly gems and I adore you both more than words! xx
Coleen’s sister made her beautiful bouquet with special pieces they have been collecting, including many from her grandmother.^This gift= incredible!
This gift also= incredible! A beautiful bible verse is engraved on the ring in Hebrew.
Seriously- could Coleen be any more gorgeous?!
The stray kitty made a guest appearance during bridal portraits and decided it would be a good idea to hang around for a while. 😉Every girl should be this excited to marry her man! <3

Ginger + Robert | Balboa Park, San Diego, CA | Family Session
Meeting this mother and son duo was a complete joy! Back around Easter, Ginger and Robert attended the Canvas Church Annual Easter Egg Hunt. They entered into a raffle for the Photography Package I gave away and were the winners!!!! It was so much fun capturing the special bond they share. The moments below came so naturally to them as they snuggled, tickled and laughed together. They are the sweetest! They had my heart melting. Capturing moments like these are one of the many reasons I have the best job EVER! 🙂
Jill + Kevin | Cincinnati, OH | Engagement
These two are getting married in November and I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their big day! I had such a great time getting to know these two on my trip to Cincinnati. We ended up getting rained out half way through but it totally didn’t matter since we already got incredible photos! (Kevin may have been excited 😉 ) Jill and Kevin are so sweet and have such awesome chemistry. This was their first time being photographed together and it was so fun to see them interact. As much as Kevin isn’t a fan a photos I could barely tell. It was so sweet to see how much he loves his lady and would do anything for her. Not to mention how happy he got when he got to tickle her! The best! Thank you both for allowing me to capture these amazing memories and I can’t wait to do more of this awesomeness in November!!!! xx
Canvas Church Mexico Mission Trip | San Felipe, Mexico | June 2014
I want to start this post of by saying it is a personal post, but I promise to keep it (relatively) short and sweet so you can enjoy the photos. 🙂 Last month with the help of family and friends I had the incredible opportunity to go to San Felipe, Mexico on a mission trip with Canvas Church while my husband was deployed. Everything about this week was truly incredible. We got to help out at a Casa Hogar and spend time with some of the sweetest kids imaginable. With a language barrier for the majority of us it was so incredible to see how little it mattered. We played, we laughed and talked in broken spanish and they loved us just the same. Thankfully there were a few people that spoke perfect spanish and did do some translating for us! These kids impacted our lives far more than we could ever impact theirs, but I am so thankful we had a small part in making their week special. While the kids were at school in the morning we helped out where we were needed and then in the afternoon we did vacation bible school with them which consisted of worship, activities, crafts and game. We also got to attend a local church, and put on some activities and puppet shows for them. This week consisted of far more than I could every write in a blog post but the one word that sums it up is thankful. I am so thankful for the life Jesus has allowed me to live, this trip, my church and all the amazing people I got to spend the week with. I feel truly blessed. Enjoy a glimpse into our amazing week! 🙂
Side note: You may see me in a couple photos so thank you to my sweet friends for grabbing the camera so I could be in a few photos too! You guys are the best! xx
Jo + Caleb | 5 year anniversary session | San Diego, CA
I don’t even know where to begin with these two! I’ll start by saying they are two of the best people I’ve ever met. I have had the joy of photographing them numerous times, but usually including their two sweet kiddos. It was so fun to capture their love & silliness. After 5 years of marriage & two sweet baby girls, these two have most definitely still got it! I was smiling ear to ear the entire time and laughing so much that I had to take a deep breath so these pictures didn’t come out super blurry! 😉 This was one of those sessions where I did very little posing and just got to hang back and capture their undeniable love. Jo & Caleb are amazing associate pastors at Canvas church in Pacific Beach and I’ve been blessed enough to get to know them this past year. They are generous, kind, loving & all around wonderful people. I am so thankful that I could capture this amazing time for them! Enjoy a glance into their beautiful marriage.
Jenny + Aiden | Family Session | San Diego, CA
A few days ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with these two cuties! Jenny was the winner of the session giveaway from a few months ago! There were so many deserving families that entered and Jenny and Aiden were definitely one of them. It was so amazing to document the love between this mother and son. They have such a special relationship and it was a joy to witness. The only thing missing from this session is Jenny’s hubby/Aiden’s daddy. He is currently deployed for eight months and this is his Father’s day gift! If only I could post the photos we got of Aiden for daddy, but we want to make sure he gets to see them first! He’ll definitely cry. 😉 Enjoy an overload of cuteness & love!!!! <3 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Alex + Steve | May 10, 2014 | Rancho Santa Fe Private Estate | Wedding
Alex + Steve are truly two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Steve is such a genuinely nice guy & Alex is as sweet as they come (plus her name is AWESOME) ;). I must admit too I thought they were super cool pulling up in their awesome motorcycles with snazzy helmets. They are pretty great! Alex + Steve had an absolutely perfect wedding. Alex made the most studding bride & her groom perfectly complimented her. They had an intimate ceremony, surrounded by close family and friends at one of their family members beautiful Estates. It was truly a wonderful day filled with loads of love, laughter and treasured memories. Enjoy a peak into their wedding day!
